Agenda items:

  • Approve September minutes – Approved; Pending: Report on FR#142 (IV): add Greek-Roman examples? SV will send hacked example to IV. 

  • Volunteers for secretary? IV is volunteering after checking with LL. Checked with LL.

  • Drive for minutes and agendas?

    • Shared Drive for minutes and agendas: 

      • Check what ramification are of Shared Drive when people aren’t in the same institutions (EMy)

      • Ask Tom if he’d like to create one at ISAW

      • Or go with generic google drive

  • Review release 9.2

    • IV: any issues to report?

      • Release went well

      • For next releases: release related emails to be sent in European afternoon = American morning – thus with exact time specification

      • Issue with upload to STOA server needs resolved

      • CT: Plan next release in 6 months? (issue with Portuguese translations postponed) 

        • GB: May be minor/maintenance releases between two major releases 9.2.1, …

        • GB: couldn’t this be automated (xslt) ?

        • CT volunteers to be release technician in order to make sure that these work. 

      • Adding links for new pages in driver.xml file is not documented. Might add a test to see if existing file isn’t already linked in driver.xml.

      • For future releases - intended to sync EFES with stylesheets and guidelines - this should be added to the release process, so that EFES behavior reflects what the Guidelines say. 

    • GB: add EFES to releaseproc

      • (+Git question): How to sync a tagged subpart of a repo with another repo? Advantage: brings version history with it. 

    • PUBLIC ACCLAMATION FOR IV

  • Epigraphic ontology https://groups.google.com/g/epont

    • LinkedPasts6 proposal with three meetings should be submitted by TK and/or PL; new deadline 2. November 2020   PL and HC need to look at this and comment. [Pietro DONE, EM sent email to HC]

  • Tickets / Markup list: Reminder Keep an eye on discussions on Markup List

    • Question on Trial engravings (`textpart/@subtype` or something else) EM to reply

    • 4 Feature requests: 

      • 146 (include EFES in ReleaseProc) assigned to GB for wording proposal

      • 144 (Add @rend value of 'inserted' to `hi` element)

      • 143 (Provide for editorial suppression and edition as normalisation)

      • 140 Handcurated list on sourceforge, ask before on MarkupList for well documented projects (github, etc.) add existing projects (USEP/IIP + IOSPE + ISic + DHARMA + DFHG + Papyri.info?) with documentation and open source files to SF then post on Markup to ask for more.Build on this SF page:  https://sourceforge.net/p/epidoc/wiki/Examples/

        • EMy will start by creating a template with USEP+IIP [EM: DONE out for comment]

    • SV will check for Feature Requests which did not made it into 9.2 


  • Digital Classicist Wiki sprint November moved to Nov 10, 16–18:00 GMT; GB confirmed date with wiki admins. DONE.

    • We should all work to get the word out, via Markup list, social media, direct contacts, etc. EM: We might even suggest that feedback or contributions by people who do not want to log into the wiki are also welcome.

  • EFES standing agenda item

    • Outstanding pull request (SS will do next week), suggestion to ask EFES usergroup for further comments, requests (IV asked EFES googlegroup)
