Summary
- There have been various moves within the papyrological community to create standards and guidelines for publishing papyri online in TEI XML in the manner of EpiDoc and *Doc. (This is a more complicated process than SigiDoc or NumisDoc because there are already many digital projects in the papyrological world with well-established databases, websites, and other publication mechanisms. Creating a single "user community" would be almost as hard as for epigraphy...)
- Among those who have expressed an interest in developing and using PapyDoc are:
- EpiDoc should work closely with this project once it comes off the ground
- It is arguable that a single schema shoudl eventually be developed to incorporate both the EpiDoc and PapyDoc needs
